Biker Babe

Some people take their kids to the zoo or park. I guess we figured that The Blessing of the Bikes was the perfect place for a baby.

Our family has been enjoying several beautiful days lately. It has been a change since last week. It snowed for us even while we were at The Cabin.
At Win's last doctor's visit they said that he had grown 3/4th inch in less than a month. That explains to Jared and I why things that seemed safely out of reach are all of the sudden in danger of the curiosity of a 1 year old. We often catch him doing things that we thought he wasn't tall enough to do. That also explains why Win eats so much. I'm not exaggerating one bit when I say that Win eats more than me--and I'm pregnant!
Jared, Win and I spend the last several days in Indiana kicking back at The Cabin. My parents now own a little lake cabin on a beautiful, peaceful lake about 2 1/2 hours south of Holland. It has been in our family for about 35 years. I've been going there my entire life, Jared and I honeymooned there, now we like to make several visits a year. It is the perfect place to do very little, read, nap and get a sunburn if the season is right. Winfield decided to take a break from his day to read a little.
I tried to take a photograph of the tulips but they were so completely covered in snow that I couldn't even see where they were. Here are a couple of my daffodils, defeated by the cold.

Our friends Josh and Catie just had their second baby. Little Soe (like Chloe but with an S) was born two days ago. She came with a hairstyle, check her out. Her older brother Noelen came for a visit today while Mom, Dad and sister transition back home. Noelen is 3 months older than Win. They are really great playmates.
Win really likes to sort things. So far Jared and I haven't ever discerned what each of his piles means, but he always seems to know. He loves to take a basket of box of toys and remove the items from it. Each item gets a quick glance and Win decisively determines whether it gets put to the left, right, into another basket, or on the couch. Here is a picture of him sorting. Can you tell what each of his piles are?
