Happy Birthday

Win is now 7 months old. Time goes so fast. I've been told that it doesn't slow down and that they grow up fast. Even at 7 months it is really true.

It can be a little difficult to take a good picture of him. Whenever I pick up the camera he begins vigorously crawling toward it and then he tries to lick the lens. We have been taking a lot of close-ups lately.

Happy Birthday Aunt Johanna

Yesterday we spent the afternoon in Grand Rapids celebrating Aunt Johanna's birthday. Uncle Matt and Aunt Johanna requested that Win wear a Swiffer suit next time he comes. Since he drags his belly all over the room anyway, they suggested that he get some work done while he is at it. His drool kind of acts like the Swiffer Wet-Jet.
Happy 25th Birthday Aunt Johanna!

Father and Son

Jared is at the Michigan Wisconsin game today with two of our friends and Jared's dad. Win was a little upset that he had to stay home with the girls. He and I went to a birthday party of a 4 year old girl. I painted their toenails and fingernails pink and purple with sparkles. Girliness was everywhere. He managed to get through it by chewing on a maize and blue hackey sack.

WIN dow

When Win is on our bed he crawls over to the window and watches the tree move in the wind and the neighbor kids playing. Smetimes he chews on the bars of the bed while he watches. Ahhh, the pleasures of life.

Places to Go

Win loves to travel all around the house. He really likes electrical outlets and cords, licking the bathroom floor, and opening dresser drawers. He has no sense of height. We have tested him. Basically, he is really keeping us on our toes. He is a very fun little baby with a very dirty belly.

Twoofers

Win popped out two teeth this week, one on Sunday and the next on Monday. They are razor sharp, only adding to his landshark image. It is a little hard to get a good picture of them. If you look real close and use your imagination you can see them in this photo.

Large Mouth Baby

Lately, Win has discovered a new way of smiling. He opens his mouth as wide as he can when he is very happy.

Hunting

When Win isn't napping or eating he is hunting. He spends most of his time craning his neck around in search of an unsuspecting piece of lint on the carpet as his prey. Then he furrows his brow and launches an attack. Using his personally developed method of crawling he swiftly overtakes the lint. When caught the lint usually surrenders to his unyielding grip and endures a brief lick. Once it has been captured and briefly tasted Win is ready for another hunt.

His most difficult targets are the little spots of light that shine on the carpet. He has a very hard time picking them up and when he bends his head down to lick them they disappear.

Little Boy, Big Truck

Win and I spent the morning watching some men from the city repair sections of our sidewalk. It was very interesting. They even let us leave a little hand print in front of our house. Win loved watching the men and the big truck work and make noise.

Labor Day Weekend

Jared, Win and I spent Labor Day weekend at Grandpa and Grandma Henderson's house. In the first picture you can see Win's first camera lesson with Grandpa Goose. Later he played and snuggled with Grandma after dinner. He especially loved swinging in the swing on their playhouse.
